What is it?
This year WIUM is partnering with the Thirst Project to help end the global water crisis. We are doing so, because Governor Elizabeth grew up on the Great Lakes, and has a major appreciation for water as a resource. She realizes the importance of clean, freshwater in everyday life and wants to help make the world a healthier, and safer place for everyone. Ending the water crisis will not only ensure that everyone on the planet can have access to clean undiseased water, it will also help close the gender gap, lower rates of spinal injuries, help the world be healthier for longer, and allow children in third world countries the ability to keep learning, instead of collecting water from miles away.
Your Challenge!
I challenge every WIUM Key Clubber to raise $25 which will give one person clean water for life. If everyone pitches in, we can reach the District goal of $5,000 in no time, and help make a huge impact on the world. So please start fundraising! Just because we are young doesn't mean we can't do anything. We have the power to make change so let's use it!
